As soon as we first met Zahra and Jim (their engagement shoot was as fun as seeing a corgi butt waddle for the first time!), we knew their wedding was about to be fire! Their positive energy is contagious and their undeniable love for each other is a beautiful thing to be around.

Zahra & Jim’s Arlington Renaissance Capital View Wedding was a wonderful fusion of Western and Afghan traditions. We had the honor to witness and photograph the Henna ceremony and Attan for the first time.
And we couldn’t get over the fact of how intimate and loving every moment felt!

The venue was gorgeous! Zahra and Jim had their first look at the beautiful staircase of the hotel. Modern architecture with big windows and lots of natural light made it a perfect spot for the first look. We then went to DC for creative portraits with the couple at World War I and MLK memorials, as well as the charming Library of Congress building.

Infused with rich and colorful traditions, the reception was a blast for everyone involved. From Jay Z to Afghan songs, the guests were dancing their hearts out on the dance floor.

Hopefully, these photos will be a reminder of your gorgeous celebration and beautiful moments shared together for years to come. Hugs <3
