Somebody’s coming up. Somebody serious.
After 7 years of marriage, I finally convinced Alex to do a couples costume for Halloween. It wasn’t easy, you guys. But by combining 2 of the things he likes – movies and photography, the stars aligned and we made it happen!
Bonnie and Clyde didn’t work alone. Thelma and Louise didn’t work alone. And they were the best.
We’re both huge fans of “Leon the Professional” and Alt-J’s song “Matilda”, which relates to the movie, specifically the relationship between Leon and Mathilda. After rewatching the movie a week ago, we both agreed that’s what we’re doing.
No women, no kids, that’s the rules.
The challenge was to find someone to take photos of us. We knew the exact framing we wanted to recreate one of the scenes and thought we could set up the shot and one of our friends would take it. But plans changed last minute and we no longer had anyone to assist. Long story short, one iPhone, one tripod, one busy Arlington street, and multiple attempts later, we did a self-portrait session and got something to show.
