The Barns at Hamilton Station Vineyards Wedding: Haleigh & Kristian

When we were planning Haleigh and Kristian’s engagement shoot, Haleigh asked us “is it OK if we bring a pizza with us?” After we got to know them a little bit better, it all made sense. Haleigh told us that one of their favorite memories together was when Kristian took her to NYC for a “Grand Pizza Tour”, and exploring new places and eating pizza together is their favorite activity. And wandering around Georgetown with pizza is one of our favorite memories of spending time with them.

We knew we would be a great match for each other because their favorite part of the wedding was the same as ours – the dancing and celebration at the end of the night.

Haleigh and Kristian were married on the leap day of 2019, just before the whole country went into lockdown due to the coro… well, you all know. But on February 29th there was nothing but joy and celebration of family and friends coming together under one roof of The Barns at Hamilton Station Vineyards wedding. Haleigh said that they knew this venue was the right choice for them as soon as they saw it, but it was the conversation with the venue coordinator that sealed the deal for them. 

As with many weddings, there are a lot of emotions and many things to be nervous about. But at the end of the day, you are married among friends and family and that is the only thing that really matters. The intimate ceremony was radiated by all of the laughter and smiles, in anticipation of the big moment. Haleigh had to keep herself from laughing as they exchanged rings because Christian has a phobia of jewelry (it is a real thing and yes, we also just learned about it!). But, he is still wearing the ring to this day! 🙂

We asked Haleigh and Kristian if they have any advice for future couples getting married and we absolutely loved their response: “Weddings are hard and stressful. Always remember that no matter what happens that day, you’ll be married by the end of it. Don’t sweat the small stuff!”

Amazing. Kept us dancing the whole reception! He’s the best.

They went above and beyond the whole day. I spilled BBQ sauce on my dress during dinner and the manager went out of her way to find me stain remover. The food was perfect. Everyone was so happy with it!

Makeup & Hair: Makeup by Ivett and Styles by Sadira

They were so perfect! Warm, friendly, and made everyone look so gorgeous.
