We first met Courtney & Jackson the night before the big day, in Shirlington for their rehearsal dinner. It was obvious from the first impression that the wedding was going to be an exhilarating day. The surprising rapping skills of one of the groomsmen, the tear-provoking speeches from the family and the bridesmaids, the joy, the happiness, and the energy in the room left us in an overwhelming anticipation of their Army Navy Country Club wedding.
We have a documentary approach to a wedding day, and we always try to emphasize the fact that we really don’t want anyone to do anything specific for the photos (other than a few instances when we do formal/creative portraits), we just want our couples to have fun and enjoy every moment with the people they love the most. Well, Courtney and Jackson took it to the next level, fully embracing each and every moment, and focusing on what matters the most – their love and commitment for each other, and the joy they have to be around their family and friends. The hugs, the tears, the kind words, the moments of seeing each other for the first time, the beautiful dances – every moment was filled with genuine and explosive emotions.
Sharing the most beautiful vows, both not being able to held back the tears, Courtney and Jackson tied the knot in one of the most gorgeous venues in Arlington. The reception followed with explosive entrances by the wedding party, the romantic and dreamy first dance of the couples and touching dances with the parents. They even incorporated the fun Polish tradition of the guests dancing with the bride, and well, the dance floor itself probably needed a day off after the party it’d seen that night.
